As a professional web design and hosting provider, these are some of the websites we’ve created for web design clients, mostly between Batemans Bay and Merimbula.
Every day we’re bombarded with advertising and emails. This presents a challenge for web designers. To cut through the noise we must convince readers that we have exactly what they’re looking for by identifying precisely who the customers are, the unspoken needs that motivate their purchasing decisions, and how to fulfil them. We have three seconds to captivate our audience before they click away. A clean design is essential, so that the most important information stands out.
Webhive can provide quality web design services for your business in Canberra or the NSW South Coast, including Nowra, Batemans Bay and Merimbula. We carefully select images, colours and text that speak to your target audience, and balance positions and sizes to funnel readers through the actions that we want them to take, in the order we want them to be performed. Then we optimise for ease and navigation speed, because every extra click loses sales. Our aim is to give our customers what they truly need, and make it easy. Below are some sites we’ve created with a summary of design considerations. (Note: all websites are owner-controlled, so the actual sites may not look exactly as they do in these images.)
I love designing the look and feel of a website. My clients are thrilled when I give them a design they really like. That’s so rewarding! – Jackie
hafren.com.au was a beautiful site to create.
My friend, architect Lucy Crawford designs sustainable, soulful buildings. We needed a visually rich site that would instantly communicate Lucy’s style. The orange tones and mist of the Hafren River background bring a sense of energy and mystique that aligns with Lucy’s interest in geomantica and sanctuary space.
The thumbnail gallery provides instant engagement, capturing readers within the crucial three second decision period.
Once hooked, clients can go deeper by enlarging the photos or reading the pages that explain Lucy’s approach to sustainability and design.
We have not attempted a call to action. For most, a house is the largest purchase they will make so selecting an architect is a slow decision. We expect clients to spend time browsing, and then use the Contact page.
It was an absolute pleasure to build a website for new home builder Greg and his wife Diana. Greg’s worked on my house, so I’ve experienced the quality of his work first hand. He’s a fantastic problem solver, great at finding creative solutions to difficult locations!
Greg and Diana needed a website because their builder/carpenter sons were moving to Narooma and they needed more work for them. Now, after building their website, they’re turning work down!
Tura Beach Country Club was a lovely client. We established great communication that resulted in a clean, modern, mobile friendly website.
The old website was cluttered and overloaded. We removed pages, changed the menus and put in some lovely, full-width photos that showed off the club and its beautiful golf course.
The club’s members love the new site. They’re finding it attractive and much easier to use.
I would like to convey my sincere thanks and appreciation for the fabulous work you have done in creating our wonderful fresh, new website.
The whole process has been an exciting and challenging experience which was made so much easier through your professionalism, skills and ability to interpret our requirements.
The true measure of a website’s success is not only attracting viewers but in actually generating business, and by any measure our new website is a resounding success. In just 2 months we increased our previous maximum daily hits from 11,000 to 40,000 and had a daily average hit rate of 19,000 for the last month. All business areas of the club have increased with one area showing a growth of 70% after just 2 months, which is quite remarkable.
It’s been a pleasure working with you and I look forward to continuing our relationship on the many projects we have planned for our website in the future.

David makes rock solid, well-designed campfire barbecues and sells them online. For David, the shop is paramount. We used Woocommerce to create a pleasing layout and easy user experience.Recipes are popular. We use these to bring traffic to the site, then we promote David’s products in the sidebar. The shop button is always prominent. Fire sets the scene in the banner, and a woodgrain background gives a rustic feel.
I have been using Jackie’s services for quite a while now and I have found her services excellent, plus her quick response even over weekends and after business hours. Her technical knowledge is really up to speed with Google and Social Media, and her programming skills allows her to give Client care beyond the norm.
She has redesigned my website with excellent results, and I would have no hesitation in recommending her services.

It’s important for branding to remain consistent across all your marketing. So we took the background from Batemans Bay U3A’s leaflet and used it on their website too.
The site had become cluttered over time, as many different members had their way with the website! We cleaned it up and introduced some controls.
Batemans Bay recently contracted Jackie of Webhive to redesign our website. We provided Jackie with a brief of requirements that included keeping it simple and uncluttered as well as friendly and welcoming.
Jackie completed the task very quickly and in accordance with our brief, regularly consulting to ensure that we were happy with the direction the website was taking. Once the site was complete Jackie provided us with a training session to enable us to perform routine maintenance as required.
We were very happy with Jackie’s service and have had positive comments from our membership. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Jackie in the future, as we further develop the site.

The lovely Elisabeth has an amazing sustainable business that uses goats to chomp weeds in hard-to-reach places.Elisabeth’s site was already designed and branded. I transferred it to WordPress and added an image slideshow on the home page to show off her results with before and after photos. I added a call to action (the Get a Quote button), made the phone numbers more prominent, and worked some magic on her Google ranking. Elisabeth has had good publicity in the Sydney Morning Herald and now has over a thousand likes on her home page!
Webhive web design (Jackie Stallard) has offered a first class web hosting service for our small business on the south coast of NSW.
Any problems are quickly fixed, the designs are great and we particularly appreciate the friendly service Jackie provides.
